Looks great so far Mark. Not as familiar with your side of modeling, I failed to realize that you would be building up the same way someone like me might when working with real materials. In looking at what you’ve started, I realize now that I should have told you the helmet comes completely apart… oops, my bad.
If you’d like, you can borrow it again and we can and strip it down to it’s individual components. I’m positive that would make your build much easier and quicker for you.
Hey thanks! I will probably take you up on that offer, as I am definitely guessing when it comes to modeling through areas that are covered over – like the visor cover and slider mechanism. No time was wasted though as getting even the simplest shapes to look right has kept me quite busy. I even refined the topology on the helmet base beyond the last pic I posted. I have moved into work on the visor cover and adjustment knob slider. I’ll post another pic soon.
Any way, thanks again.
